Diana Dance is the Director of R&R Dance Performers Group:

"Dance is a way of life for me, I have been a recreational dancer all my life and in the last 15 years have been teaching dance just for fun and as a community service.

The R&R Dance Performers are a group of 30 dance friends who met through out the last fifteen years, starting at the old Saddle Rack in San Jose in 1992, to Rodeo Club in San Jose in 2001, to the new Saddle Rack which opened in 2003 in Fremont.  We are not professional dancers, we are regular people just like you, we have regular jobs, teacher, nurse, sales resp, engineers, accountant, secretary, full-time mom, store owners, Marketing Executives and Retired Civil Servants.   We love to dance and we dance for good causes and to create awareness of the tremendous benefits of dance to our society.

We danced in August 2008 in San Jose, on August 2nd, in the "the Elegant Era" show at the Center for the Performing Arts for a non-profit organization called "Building Respect Through Dance", which I am proud to be a board member of.  This Building Respect Through Dance Program teaches high school students ballroom dancing after school as a non-profit, community program, not only as a great way for the students to get exercise, but also to teach them dance steps, and most importantly to teach our youth, Social Etiquette and Respect for oneself.  Boredom is one of the greatest threats to young people, learning to dance gives them focus and teaches them how to interact appropriately towards the opposite gender.

This coming holiday season in 2008, our Dance group plans to dance at Cancer ward in Good Sam and/or Stanford Hospital.  The mission of the R&R Dance Performers is to share the joy of dance with our communities, to promote good, healthy lifestyle and positive community interactions.  Our Motto is:  "Come and dance, make a difference, one dance at a time!".   We are accepting new dance team member, please apply by sending me an email to dianadancing@yahoo.com.   OR go to:  www.dianadance.com

In July of 2008, I had an interview with Maggie Scura for Headline News Comcast NewsMaker talking about the "Building Respect Through Dance" program. The interview has aired August 2008 in the Bay area.  We have received many positive feedback for our efforts.  We, the R&R Dance Performers, have been invited by Maggie Scura for another interview Next Spring of 2009.

The R&R Dance Performers, are not just good friends having fun dancing, we are each's extended family, we have BBQ parties, Birthday parties, wine tasting events, weddings...   There are, so far, ten couples that met at our dancing places that have gotten married and still happily married.  When one of is sick or have special needs, all of us chip in to help. The love of dance bonds us together, the friendship keeps us coming back to this group."

"Come, join us, make a difference, one dance at a time!"

Debbie W of San Jose:  This is what dancing has given me.

"ONE SHOE CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE......."

                                              Cinderella

My story begins with a pair of cowboy boots.
Dancing has taught me to not only set goals but to focus on the journey. Dancing
has given me the opportunity  to be creative and to express my hearts desire to
be happy in what ever life throws my way. It has surrounded me with wonderful
friends and memories.
I now look at life as a closet full of shoes and a world of
endless, life changing  possibilities  For me, dreams can come true and have
happy endings when you learn to dance!

P.S. I highly recommend  trying on a pair of dancing shoes!!!!!

Nicole H of Santa Cruz:  Dance to me is more than a part of my life, it IS me. It shows my personality and is an expression of freedom, escape, joy, strength, and individuality. It's a powerful tool when used to change my mood-always uplifting

Mike M and Marie D of San Jose:  Has helped our relationship.

Corey E of San JOse:  I met many wonderful people

Suzanne T of Sunnyvale:  I have met so many people and they are my best friends today.

Debbie A of Saratoga:  Meeting wonderful friendly people, help me with my self confidence.

Laura L of Saratoga:  From the time I was a little girl, dance has been a wonderful form of expression, fun, grace & exercise.  Over the last many years, dance has been a rewarding physical and social activity for me.  Dance people out there are full of life! Young and old!!.

Mike & Nancy G of San Jose:  We have been line dancing for the past 15 years.  Dance is a good form of exercise, we made many new friends and dance help us staying healthy.  We would like to continue dancing into our 70's.

Marlyn T of San Juan Bautista:  Lifts my spirits up & keep me stay in good shape.

Diana Dance of Cupertino:   I found my passion, dance is a way of life for me.  When I dance, moving with music and rhythm, my heart is singing with joy.  Dance is inspirational and healing, it uplifts you and take you to a place that is tranquil and peaceful.  Dance keep you in good health physically and emotionally.  I met many good people who are now my best friends and my family, who have been there and helped through thick and thin...  As a mother of three daughters, all passionate dancers, I saw, first hand, the positive impact of dance on young folks, healthy body, mind and soul, respectful, elegant, beautiful young ladies.
